Wee Red Corridor

Wee Red Corridor

A floor to ceiling glass wall for a long narrow walkway. To be experienced in transit, this design changes as you pass by it. The spider plant inspires this design: bands of colour create subtle variations and unexpected bands of vivid complementary colour accentuate and animate the overall design. Within a double glazed unit measuring 30cm wide panels of coloured glass are fitted vertically. The coloured glass panels are fitted at different angles and are irregularly spaced. Due to the angle of the coloured glass sections within the double glazed unit the glass wall appears completely coloured as one moves along the corridor, however if you were to look ahead on through the glass the view outside is clear. This permits a great deal of natural light to enter the corridor, it also maintains visibility out from and into the corridor.
