Light of the World

The building has a large glazed entrance and canteen area. A vinyl manifest was required, in this area and in other areas of the building. I saw this as an opportunity to continue the message written on the outer ring of the bronze and glass sculpture. So here, in more than sixty languages 'light of the world' is written, in cut out translucent vinyl. By reflecting some of the text, it can be read both from inside and from outside. I used the same text in the design for the 'Welcome' mug given to all staff and visitors at the opening of the building and for 'Kitchen' mugs that are used daily.
