City Copse
Simplified tree forms fabricated in brushed stainless steel. As leaves moving in the breeze, and mediating the always shifting day-light the canopy of each tree is a shimmering brilliance of thousands of light reflecting discs.
Inspired by the shimmering signs seen outside theatres in the west end. Requiring no power source, moved by the breeze the reflective discs will be animated by the both day-light and passing vehicle lights at night.
Responding to a brief for a site in SW8, London. Short-listed to final four, May 2008.
